Brotherhood Against Depression, Anxiety, and Situational Stress
Men often struggle in therapy and there’s little need for guessing why. We are raised to hide our emotions, or worse to pretend that they don’t exist. Because of this, coming to therapy can feel threatening to who we are as men. Recognizing this, I have decided to offer men a chance to come together on a morning at a time when they likely won’t have to take off work or explain to others why they are busy. Best of all, you’ll learn to be a BADASS.
Saturday mornings for 10 weeks we will walk through a training on using skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to modify the way we react to our internal experiences including those of self-defeat, self-criticism, anxiety, and stresses that come up at home, work, or school.
The group runs from 8:30 am to 10 am and comes with free coffee, donuts, and a copy of The Happiness Trap by Russ Harris, MD and the cost is $40 per session. Men being treated by me or another counselor in individual therapy will be offered a reduced rate of $35 per session. Click to view the flier.
